Meet North Camp Properties

Co-founders Steve Austin and Mike Hershberger started with a simple vision, to own and operate resorts as premier destinations for individuals and families who choose to be surrounded by woods, water and the peaceful and serene northern Wisconsin lifestyle.

In 2006, when Oak Ridge Bar and Campground was put on the market, it was time for Steve and Mike to put the wheels in motion and bring that vision to life. They purchased the business and grew its humble footprint from a 40-site campground to 135; and discovered that they had a passion for the Northwoods hospitality business.

Soon it was time to expand their Oak Ridge location, and when their previous lender was a bit too small to support their growth, Steve reached out to CCFBank. That’s when he met Josh Villella, Banker and champion of local entrepreneurs. Steve shared the vision and initial expansion plan, Josh tailored financial solutions to match their business needs and personally saw them through every phase of the expansion funding process.

Just a few years later, North Camp Properties now owns and operates six resorts across northern Wisconsin, with CCFBank financing and championing every one of these expansions.
